Well, in news that I think we all saw coming, Scotland entered into another Lockdown at midnight last night. There was so much focus on 2020 coming to a close, it was hard to come to terms with, despite the fact that we all knew deep down that it wasn't like at the stroke of midnight the virus would cease to be.
As a wedding supplier myself, January is usually my busiest month, working on designs for couples, dealing with enquiries, and preparing for all the upcoming shows - notably the Scottish Wedding Show. It's not to be...yet. Now that we have 2 vaccines rolling out, hopefully this lockdown will help stem the tide of Covid so that the return to normal comes as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, with this news, it's means that for the whole of January, while weddings are still able to go ahead, the numbers are back to being very limited. From Friday the 8th of January they will be restricted to just 5 people, which includes the couple, witnesses, and the celebrant. If an interpreter is required then that will allow you to go up to 6. These restrictions are due to stay in place for the whole of January, although will be reviewed again in a fortnight, where hopefully we'll see a brighter picture!
Sending you all love, whether you're continuing to work through it, on furlough, shielding, or wrestling with the hell that is home schooling.
