Emma & Craig - Sloans 17th October 2020
The news regarding weddings this week perhaps wasn't as positive as we'd hoped, so it seems like the perfect time to share this wonderful micro wedding Lee from Lee Davidson Connor Photography at Sloans in October, before we all locked down again. Below Lee tells us all about it.
Let's set Covid-19 aside for a moment, Emma & Craig's wedding at Sloans Glasgow was intimate and full of love. A Micro Wedding as it's known can be everything you ever wished for. Right so you will not have everyone there from your guest list, but what you will have is your nearest and dearest.
Most importantly the one you are marrying is right in from you.
My first Micro Wedding was at Sloans in Glasgow, one of my favourite city wedding venues.
Sloans were very accommodating and made the day feel as normal as it could be. The ceremony was held in the Ballroom inside Sloans, a large cosy room with plenty of character. All the key ceremony moments happened and I think that's the most important thing to remember.
Norrie Flowers conducted the ceremony, a power house of a character. He adds joy and warmth. Highly recommended if your looking for an energetic ceremony. There was no party or music but we will all have time for that in the future. The day finished with some heart felt words from friends and family.
Being a photographer who pays attention to the interactions between people not objects I capture all the laughter, tears and emotions. I believe these emotions will be more present after the constraints of lock-down and the pandemic finally lift. Hugging someone will never be taken for granted again, especially at weddings.
I can't wait for that first wedding back.
